Proof, not promises
Every production run starts with a testable specification.
We confirm card construction, chip family, data format, artwork and reader-test requirements before mass production. Sample approval is the decision gate—not a generic compatibility claim.
Technical project details are shared directly with qualified institutional buyers where confidentiality allows.
Compatibility
| Platform / use case | Supported | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Campus card management platforms | Yes | Compatibility depends on chip family, credential format, encoding, licensing and reader configuration. Confirm the requirements in writing and validate a sample on the installed system before production. |
| Library management systems | Yes | Match the card technology and identifier to the installed library readers and patron-management workflow. Book-tag standards alone do not establish compatibility with a student card. |
| Cashless dining / vending | Yes | Agree the card application, reader support and account-linking format with the campus operator. Protected authentication requires a suitable chip, correctly configured readers and an approved key-management process; balances and permissions belong to the campus platform. |
| Mobile wallet provisioning | Yes | Physical and mobile credentials can coexist only where the installed readers and campus platform support both. Mobile provisioning and any required licensing are handled by the campus platform. |
Encoding options
- UID-decimal (factory serial as integer)
- UID-hex (factory serial as hex string)
- Custom prefix + UID (e.g. campus code + serial)
- Diversified per-card keys (AES-128) issued from your HSM
- Magnetic stripe encoding (HiCo or LoCo) — track 1, 2, or 3
Sample-kit workflow
- 1Send the campus platform, reader models and firmware, required credential format, application and key-management requirements, issuance workflow and sample artwork (PDF).
- 2We respond within 24h with a 5-card sample kit quote, lead time, and encoding test plan.
- 3Sample kit ships in 3-5 business days (DDP for EU/UK, DAP for North America).
- 4Test the samples on your campus readers and card-management system. Confirm identifier format, application access and key-management requirements before signing off production.
- 5On sign-off, we produce the full order from your final artwork and key set.

Frequently asked questions
- What chip families do you support for student IDs?
- The full range of 13.56 MHz HF chips that comply with ISO 14443A — including legacy and current high-security families. We can also embed low-frequency (125 kHz) chips for dual-frequency cards used in migration scenarios. See our glossary for chip-by-chip detail.
- Will your cards work with our campus card platform?
- Compatibility depends on chip family, credential format, encoding, licensing and reader configuration. Confirm the requirements in writing and validate a sample on the installed system before production.
- Can students add the card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet?
- Adding a credential to a mobile wallet is a separate campus-platform capability. It depends on compatible readers, provisioning and licensing. Confirm those requirements with your platform operator; a physical card alone does not enable mobile wallet issuance.
- What's the standard MOQ and lead time?
- Standard minimum order is 500 cards. Lead time is 2-3 weeks for standard photo-printed orders, 4-6 weeks for fully personalized with chip encoding and bespoke key derivation. Express options available for urgent orientation cycles.
- Do you support photo personalization at the manufacturer?
- Yes — we can do bulk photo personalization from a CSV + photo archive you supply. Each card is printed with the cardholder's name, photo, and ID number. We also support on-site personalization workflows for campuses that issue cards in-house.
